Oh, today! It was early this morning that I had to get my self awake and get ready for work, had to be there by seven o'clock. So I of coursed woke up around six fifteen to be sure to be ready and on time. Originally it was supposed to be a seven to three carhop shift at the Drive-In, but I was fortunate enough to be able to stay an extra 2 hours!!! (Always a good thing for that paycheck) All-in-all it was a very good work day. I had decided to leave and go home, while on my way, I had received two text messages from my mom about our family plans (had family in from Colorado) well come to find out they were going to be at our house for desert that evening! "AH!" Was my thoughts,"I'm not ready for company!" So, I scurried home. Luckily, when I got home, I had come to find out that the plans had changed, yet, another time, they weren't going to be here for another hour! (Inside my mind I was thinking NAP!!!) But as you all know that six pm on a Saturday, a nap is not going to happen. SO I rolled with the punches and eventually,earlier than planned, they showed up. It was so much fun to have them here and to be able to just relive some of our ALWAYS fun past times! After we all had desert, cake and ice cream, we decided to do some games. Our first game of the day was Sit-Down Duck, Duck, GOOSE! Then closely followed Zoom,ZILch, CASTIGLY-AWNO! Which I must say that last one was too much fun! After about two hours our time together had ran up and they needed to get going to finish packing their bags, so they could leave in the morning.
All to my surprise, I had thought that the night was basically over and that I could chill for a bit and then off to bed. NOPE! I had to log on to my college site online and fix a class, I mean drop a class! It was a total relief to be able to do that and remain a full-time student! (Who needs Technology Essentials?!?!) I didn't care it was just best this way! Well, with all of that said I did it! I had completed it all!! "Bed time" that is all in my mind now, but my mom hollered for me down the hallway and needed my help... ( I LOVE my mom and love to help her, always have and hope to always will) So, I jumped at the opportunity to offer my services! She was needed a quiz on her Vocabulary Words for college!!! "Yea, Boring" of course you know that is what I was thinking! I did it anyways! It turned out to be soooo much fun! It was fun that I had missed when I was younger and different life facts were also different than they were today! But I am ok with all of that! I saw my mom tonight and it was...
AMAZING! We laughed and thought and shared the same thoughts alot of the times! You know, I have always admired and loved that woman for everything she has ever done for me and m brothers, and tonight... I got to show her :D Happy? Ya, it is a good starter word, but not what I had felt tonight, tonight was...loved and cared and helpful and just like we were best friends! That is something I would NEVER trade, it was... priceless!
