The Healing Power of Forgiveness

You know that one of the hardest things in life is to forgive a person, right? I mean especially when they have wronged you in such a harsh way. Or even in some of the little things we still get tangle in anger over what has been wronged of us. Well, I have some thing to say about forgiveness first; IT IS NOT  EASY!!! I mean come on if it was easy would you not have done it by now?! GOTCHA! So confess it, forgiveness is hard... come on... do it. Thank you. Secondly; it is definitely WORTH IT! WAIT. Hold the phone. You mean you want me to get out of my comfort zone and forgive someone and then admit that I was wrong in holding my forgiveness off?!?! And Now you say it is worth it!!!? You are out of your mind. No, no, no I'm not, I am simply stating that if you take the time out of your busy day and look at the situation you will find out that most of the times you SHOULD be forgiving this person! OH CRAP! Yeah OH CRAP. I mean what did God tell us to do?

Jesus spells it out plainly: if we forgive others, we will be forgiven. Likewise, we shouldn't judge, lest we be judged and we shouldn't condemn lest we be condemned as well.

Luke 6:37 (The Message)

37-38"Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don't condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you'll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not getting, is the way. Generosity begets generosity."

Luke 6:37 (New Living Translation)

Do Not Judge Others
37 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.

I mean correct me if I am wrong but to me it sounds as if God <----- The Creator---> is telling us that we should forgive one another... and DROP it! Wow. Now why would The Creator God tell us to forgive others.... oh ya, see God expects us to be Christlike and to be the examples in this dark world. But forgiveness is holding us back. So in turn, we are ... disobeying God. (OUCH!) ((It even sucks to type that out!)) Okay, so, what if this is true... then we (Believers) are not living out what we want others to live.
Ok well let me help some of you in realizing how the power of forgiveness has a healing side effect! There is a book, "The Healing Power of Forgiveness" by Ray Pritchard. Need I say no more. If you are having trouble in this area I KNOW that this book will help you. I dare you to spend $15 + Reading time = Forgiveness. This book, will "drive it home" for you in helping you let go of your hurt, experience renewed relationships, and, find new intimacy with God.

Okay, now, all of that to say... "Don't wait until the person you need to forgive is dead in a 2 week later car accident to tell him/her that you forgave him/her" Your relationships are VERY important, why else would God stress that a relationship with Him is the key to heaven?!?!?
God Bless and be Blessed
